About The Club

Founded in 1984 by a small group of local car enthusiasts, the club was formed for members to share and promote their common interest in older vehicles and the like.

From 23 founding members the club now has over 500 memberships enjoying and sharing their enthusiasm for collectable vehicles with like minded friends. Regular club runs and meetings are well attended and each year the club organizes Gawler Swap Meet which is now the premier swap meet in South Australia.

The Gawler Veteran, Vintage and Classic Vehicles Club invites members of all such vehicles to join the club.

Veteran, Vintage, and Classic are terms used to define a motor vehicle manufactured or built or embodying a majority of components in the time periods:

Veteran Any motor vehicle manufactured prior to 1st January 1919.

Vintage Any motor vehicle manufactured after 31st December 1918 and before the 1st January 1931.

Classic Any post vintage and special interest vehicle.

Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7.00pm at the Gawler Recreation Centre “Youth Shack”, Nixon Tce Gawler SA.
New members and guests very welcome.

I’m interested in joining the club. I have a 1967 Mini. Would that qualify? How much does membership cost?
    Regards Steve

    • Hi Steve, looks like we are slow in responding. Any motoring enthusiast is welcome. If your mini is in unmodified condition it would qualify for concessional rego. Go to our magazines page and open one of our recent magazines to found out about where and when we meet, costs and how to contact various officials (including the membership secretary)
