GVV&CVC 2017 Swap Meet Report

GVV&CVC 2017 Swap MeetGraham's Jag as hopefully the project will look like

A lot of sellers got a good start and a good position for the 2017 Gawler Swap Meet by coming on the Saturday, setting up and staying the night, fortunately it was good weather and spirits were high.

Sunday, as usual, the day started early in the dark, collectors of old car parts are of the opinion if they don’t get to the event early they will miss out on purchasing that elusive part they have been wanting for ages and that is mostly correct, being that some parts are hard to find apart from swap meets.

Some interesting changes to the swapmeet this year that were of interest to all.

Those who attended, I hope you found some of what you were looking for, or at the very least you would have been able to make contact with someone that may have pointed you in the direction of a possible successful outcome.

Congratulations to the many club members who contributed their time over the two days to make the event run as smooth as was expected.

And the following brief report from Steven Salisbury – President GVV&CVC
We were very fortunate to have good weather on our side for our annual Swap Meet this year. Everything went well due to the hard work of so many volunteers. Some of them were present for quite a few hours on Saturday and many were also involved in a 10 hour day on Sunday with barely a break to even sit down. The new project car attracted much interest, plus the display of club members cars in the main hall. We had a lot of interest in our club and many enquiries during the day regarding joining our club.
Thanking all of those members and others who were able to make this Swap Meet another successful and great event.
